A Letter From One of the Founding Partners, Sandra Boyd

Dear Corporate:

Thank you for the years of growth and lessons you’ve given me. Thank you to the incredible leaders and colleagues who’ve been part of my journey, the lessons learned, and the moments shared.

My career has been a rollercoaster of pride, joy, frustration, and heartbreak — all within a single day. Yet, every twist has shaped who I am today.

For much of my journey, I played by the rules, blending tenacity with creativity. I thrived and stumbled, often sacrificing pieces of myself and personal life to gain success in my career. I laughed instead of challenging, nodded when I wanted to speak up, and endured both jabs given and received. I’ve navigated the murky waters of corporate life, believing that professional and personal lives should not intersect and sacrificing pieces of my life along the way.

So now I am shedding the corporate uniform I’ve worn for too long, and stepping into a new chapter, launching a new venture, TalentWise Collective. I will continue doing what I do in the talent space, while I break the mold and redefine my voice. This leap is transformative; it allows me to speak my truth as a human — and as a woman.
